Becoming A Christian

At Hermitage FBC, we believe that salvation is by GRACE alone through FAITH alone in CHRIST alone! (Ephesians 2:1-13)
We believe that God has provided a well-marked pathway to eternal life through His Word.

Salvation Is Needed by Everyone:

• The Fact of Sin:  "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23
• The Consequences of Sin:  "The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"  Romans 6:23

Salvation Has Been Provided for Everyone:

• "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life"  John 3:16
• "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me."  John 14:6

Salvation Must Be Accepted and Received:

• Repentance is Required (turning from your sin to God):  "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."  Acts 3:19
• Faith is Necessary (depending totally on God):  "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved."  Acts 16:31

You can be saved today if you turn from your sin, and in faith, ask Jesus to forgive and save you!
"Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is no other names under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."  Acts 4:12
